Dr Chandrakant Kanase

Dr. Chandrakant Kanase completed his MBBS at BJ Medical College, Pune, and his MD with a gold medal. For the last 32 years, he has been practising as a physician in internal medicine.

Dr. Saraswati Kanase, his wife, is a gynaecologist. Along with his wife, his whole family is working in the medical field. His first son, Dr. Nikhil Kanase, is a practising psychiatrist and secretary of the Kuluswami Medical Foundation, whose wife, Dr. Yogeshree Kanase, is a dermatologist. His second son, Mr. Shubhankar Kanase, is not from the medical field but works as a secretary at the Shivanery Foundation, and his wife, Mrs. Shraddha Bhat, is an international taekwondo player who has received the Chhatrapati Award and 20 gold medals at the national level.

Dr. Chandrakant Kanase has been practising as a general physician since 1986 at Alphatown. He started his own 15-bed hospital-style nursing home in 1990. He has treated over 500,000 patients and performed over 5,000 free polio corrective surgeries to date. He is well known for curing snake bites and poisoning patients. After all of this, he established the Doctor to Home Clinic, a multispecialty clinic in Pune's Pimple Saudagar. And currently, he is practising diabetes reversal, weight loss, and management at the DTH clinic in Pimple Saudagar and the Anantrao Kanase Homeopathic Medical College, Alephata.

He was honoured with an honorary Rotarian award in 1995, and in 1996 he got a Paul Harris fellowship and a president's citation award in 1997. Along with the medical industry, he has worked in the education industry as well. He founded Anantrao Kanase Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital under the Kuluswami Medical Foundation at Alephata in 2000.
